Biography

Dr Gitanjali Fernandez graduated from the prestigious Madras Medical College , Chennai and continued to do her post graduation in the same college. She has immense passion and zeal for Ophthalmology with special interest in Medical Retina. She has been trained under the guidance of big doyens in Ophthalmology – Dr Babu Rajendran and Dr Janakiraman. She has great experience in Fundus fluorescein angiography, Optical Coherence Tomography, Retinal photocoagulation. She has more than 8 years working experience, has vast experience in Ophthalmology.

She underwent her Medical Retina training at The Eye Research Foundation, Vijaya Hospitals, Chennai. She also underwent a 3 month training in Retinal Lasers and Intravitreal injection at MN Eye Hospitals, Chennai . She successfully completed her Phaco training at Arvind Eye Hospitals, Madurai. She periodically updates herself by attending workshops, CME and conferences
