Biography

Dr. Vasantha Jayaram completed MBBS and Diploma in Psychological Medicine (DPM) from Madras Medical College. She has been associated as a faculty in 2 medical colleges. She has worked in several general hospital settings and has immense experience in Liaison Psychiatry spanning 26 years. She has gained expertise in the management of minor and major mental disorders. She has worked on crisis intervention and stress management. She also has evolved protocols for follow-up and rehabilitation of patients with chronic mental illnesses. She has work experience in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry and management of substance dependence.

Dr. Vasantha has worked on psychiatric evaluation in Transplantation Medicine. She has conducted several community mental health programs. She has also given lectures at Continuing Medical Education Programs and at psychiatry conferences.
