Biography

Dr Karthik Raj Manoharan completed his bachelors in medicine and MD from Sri Ramchandra University after which he pursued his masters in science in the field of infectious disease from the University of Western Australia. He later received a fellowship in liver transplant, HPB anaesthesia and critical care from Tamilnadu Dr MGR Medical University.

Dr Selvakumar Malleeswaran is alumni of the Madras Medical College, Chennai and completed his MD in Anesthesiology from PGIMER, Chandigarh. Dr Vishal Kumar Chorasiya is alumni of the SS Medical College, Madhya Pradesh and went on to complete his MS from the Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal. Dr Rajanikanth Patcha did his Masters in General Surgery from the famous & prestigious institute JIPMER , Pondicherry. In 2001 he moved to England to gain specialist training in Surgical Gastroenterology and Liver Transplantation.

Dr Rajanikanth passion towards liver transplantation made him pursue training in world renowned Kings College hospital, London for 6 years. He worked with Prof Nigel Heaton and Prof Mohamed Rela who are the pioneers in liver transplant training and guided him through his years of training.

During his stay in UK, Dr Rajanikanth successfully completed membership of the Royal college of surgeons of Edinburgh and of Ireland . He also qualified for Fellow of European Board of surgery in Liver transplantation and Hepato biliary surgery in the year of 2014 making him one of the first South Indians to achieve this prestigious certificate in both fields.

Biography

Dr Vivek Vij is alumni of BJ Medical College, University of Pune and then completed his MS in General Surgery from the Government Medical College, Punjab. He holds a DNB in General Surgery and is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburg from March 2003.

He is a pioneer of liver transplant surgery in India and has pioneered two liver transplant programs in the country. Considered to be one of the best donor surgeons India, his areas of expertise include – liver surgery, liver transplants and hepatobiliary surgery.

Dr. Vij has pioneered several surgical innovations in liver and HPB surgeries. He has also performed a wide range of gastrointestinal surgeries and over 500 liver resections. Published widely in several leading journals, he has presented papers and presentations at various leading forums of the world.
